Just reached home from prawning... Really very tired but I guess it was fun nevertheless.. Arrived at Punggol at ard 6 plus and everyone was there already. As we didn't see any shuttle bus there, Eileen called the prawning "company" and they say they will will send the vehicle to pick us up at Punggol MRT. So we waited for quite some time before the boss actually came to pick us up. He had to make 2 trips as his car can only take 3 passengers. Upon arriving there, we commenced our prawning activity. (Prior to that, we did some funny jumping stuff, but I'm not gonna dwell about it here) The first 50 mins was so bored as none of us caught any prawns. The boss was so sarcastic to say that because you all are from NUS (all except me) that's why all the prawns are NUS prawns (i.e. intelligent ones). Then Yuesi suddenly scream from faraway when she caught her first prawn. Subsequently, the next few prawns came along and I managed to get 1 for myself. The boss was quite nice by extending about 20 mins for us. But I guess initially there weren't any prawns left in the pond until he put some during the last 30 mins. The total output was 6 and the boss cleaned them before packing it for us to bring it to our dinner destination not faraway. What expensive prawns that we got. 6 for $75. Hahaha.. So the 6 prawns was brought to our dinner place.. Steamboat buffet.. Haha... I guess it is tian yi that I didn't have steamboat buffet yesterday and had it today. And who say Chin Huat is cheap. The buffet I had today cost only $12.80 nett. And is just by the seaside which is so windy. This is the first time I eat steamboat w/o sweating. (I sweat even if the place is air-conditioned) So we put the prawns into the boiling soup base to add taste to the soup. So cooling... Everything was went except for that bitch that served us. We asked if the drinks were inclusive of the $12.80 and she said yes. Then during the 2nd time when the girls got their drinks, she said each can cost $1.50. No wonder she say she will serve me and Adrian. It comes with a price. Then the worse thing was she over-charged me $1.50 in the end. She simply assumed that all 5 of us took the drinks but in actual fact Eileen didnt. I wanted to take back the $1.50 from her, not because of the $$ but to take back due to her poor service attitude and not being honest. But as we had already walked quite a distance from the steamboat place, I decided to let things passed. Despite being able to count accurately what my friends ought to pay, I forgot to calculate the amount to be paid in total. During the meal, a family walked pass us and the mother was calling her son "xxx". Immediately my friends look at me and laugh. Haha.. I guess that name really had an impact on them. Haha.. We waited for another 20 mins before the shuttle bus bring all of us back to Punggol MRT. I guess the steamboat is quite worth it but the place is rather inaccessible without a car.
