Yay, Exams are finally over le.... It is the time to rest, relax , party and have fun...

Stats exam was horrible on thurs... While doing the paper, I keep hearing Xue Fen, who sat behind me, sighing away. Me too was feeling very stress over the paper. So chim.. I keep my fingers cross.... As for marketing paper, the questions were quite unexpected.. As usual, I smoke my way through with a few models and citing some funny examples.. But at least, marketing was not that stress. I could manage to write 6 pages for my business plan which the more you write, the more ideas just come along.. Met Nat after the exams... He is still so cool as usual in his striking outfit that I can see right from where I sat in the exam hall. He said that the papers are alright.... I really pray everything would be alright like what he say..

Anyway, is over liao so no point brooding over it. After the exam, I went out with Jessica, Huey Sun and her ex-roomie, Latin (hopefully i spell it correctly). We went to glass house to eat Fish and Co. I totally agree with Jess that the soup is superb and I really like the taste very much. 4 of us ordered fish and chips and having ate almost nothing throughout the day, I finished the entire pan of fish and chips. Though I prefer Manhattan's fish and chips, the ambience in Fish n Co is just too nice and I love the songs they played throughout the meal. Huey Sun will agree with me on that.

With them having no textbooks and me hugging all my stats and marketing books, we went to raffles city to queue 4 donuts. The queue was not that bad and we managed to get half a dozen each within 1/2 an hour. Haha...

We walked past a bubble tea shop and as usual we each bought a cup of bubble tea. We drank it as we walked our way to esplanade. Settled down outside esplanade and we chatted a lot on sch stuff. Including Latin telling us her SP partner during NBS camp and her whole experience with him. I never know such boring guys do exist in NBS. Hey, life in uni is just not about enrolling yourself in special term and revolving around boring demanding modules all the time. When is time to play, you ought to let down your hair and play!! They say that NBS camp was very fun..... Guess I miss out on a lot of stuff... But all this was at the expense of gd fun in camp too. At least a place that I would say I can very much determine the fun and stress level.. Haha... We also trying to play cupid la... Me and my mei mei trying very much to set up a "brand" called D&J... Guess what brand isit liao? This brand has a very strong positioning in terms of how D & J looks similar and how they very well complement each other as pillars of support. Apprently, D is shy and J is just as equally shy.. But actually the public knew that such a product can exist in the market.. Haha... Anyway, we parted around 9 and I went home for a good night's sleep.

Looking forward to the outings next week! Apparently, most ppl still having exams so ya Jia You for the remaining papers that you all have. If there are no outings, I probably remain as a potato couch at home watching TV or perhaps I go exercise!! (Go gym) Hahaha... So funny rite??? Preparing for IPPT? No la.. I not eligible to take... Hopefully those ppl around me can pass IPPT for their opened window. Dun default and kena fine k! If you ever do that, when you go pay the fine, dun ever mention you know me. Cos I'm supposed to motivate everyone to pass IPPT and to fulfil their 10 years NS cycle. Talking about that, I know many of my buddies in camp are facing a lot of stress after those disgusting NSmen went to complain. I just don't understand why people have to make other people's life so miserable. No matter what, you can't escape unless u intend to leave Singapore forever. So just serve and MR, that's it. I was on the train the other day and I heard one Nsmen telling his friend that he defaulted RT the 3rd time. Deep in my heart I was thinking, is he crazy? Or he has too much money to pay the government? Whatever it is, perhaps throwing him into DB would be the best alternative. Hopefully, the JDOs wun give face... For me, I knew I won't give face to such people or those people who forever ask for deferment.

Whatever it is, exams r over!! Christmas is coming real soon and is the season to party and feast. More makan sessions, pls. (Jeremy would probably need to reconsider eating too much as he would need to burn more excess oil) Haha... I'm evil but too bad I'm forever slim and my waist just won't go beyond 28 inches.......

[宇] :: Cant Wait For 19th Jan 2008 Liao Lah !!! says:

I burst out laughing. Really help me reduce a lot of my exam stress.. Just came back from Tampines after a studying session with David and Jeremy. Went Burger King to mug econs and realize that econs really can have extreme questions that are either super easy or super difficult. Praying very hard that the questions on monday would be alright.

Yesterday was my first exam after 3 faithful years. The first hour was horrible as warming up my lazy hand to write essays really took up a lot of my time. Was rushing like mad for the next hour, with my "doctor-liked" handwriting. Really no time to seriously finish the paper. Haiz.. But at least its over and the feeling of getting 1 paper down is so much better. But stress level is still maintain at high levels with 3 papers undone.

I can't wait for Thurs to come. It must come quickly. My notes and books are flooding me and I can't breathe. How I wish if exams were papers and questions that simply test our knowledge on the subject without impacting on our future. (Wishful thinking) If examinations really determine how knowledgeable and how successful a person is, then y r there still so many graduates that landed up in unemployment situation during their career. Life ain't that smooth sailing after all and are grades really everything? Well, the society we live in still place a very high emphasis on that, creating more and more essay writing machines and bookworms who memorise knowledge off the books. Why am I so emo today? Haha.. Perhaps I'm just too stress.

No matter wad, reality still tells me that I need to go back to books and be ready for exams cos EXAMS MATTERS!!!

5 more days to dreadful exams and I'm still not 50% done with my revision.. How??? After seeing all the past exam papers, it make me realise how stupid I am. Maybe I shouldn't be in NBS? Most of the questions are application questions and I need to think so hard just to give them an answer. Esp irritating stats.. Just doing the MCQ questions alone can kill your brain cells to the max.. Sigh....

Blogging can help de-stress but just for a short little while.. After finishing this entry, it is back to reality.. Textbook, notes, exampapers, footnotes, etc... And the feeling ain't good, esp after one has never been into the examination hall for 3 years. The feeling is just not good. More resistance than driving force to sit for exams in a totally stressful atmosphere.

I think many people see me as cool and steady for exams, but deep inside my heart I know I'm NOT!!! Esp when there are so many models to memorise and apply, I totally can't breathe. What makes things worse is when the things you memorise the day before vanish into thin air the next day you wake up from your sleep. As I'm typing this entry, I really hope that it will never end cos ending this entry means back to reality. Books!!!

For once, I finally miss those NS days. Those carefree days where there's no tests (not this kind of brain exhausting ones), no exams and I would say hardly any stress. Instead, it is me who will set test papers for my peers to practise before their NSKPT test. Haha. Setting paper is so much more FUN because you try to twist the questions here and there to make it more challenging and putting some real life examples into questions make the question paper so much more interesting. But now, there are 4 sets of tortures coming to my way and I'm supposed to concur all of them.

Anyway, friday night was spent outside at city hall with Eileen, Michelle and Yuesi. We were talking about how interesting those "models" who were sort of posing inside those small little enclosed area trying to attract the attention of shoppers. Perhaps, if they were to pay us at $10 per hour, sitting there talking, we wouldn't mind. Haha..

I need energy the next few days to finish the remaining lot of revision. I would say I have not covered anything much for Stats and Econs I sort of have lots of loopholes to cover here and there. I know I can do it, so to the rest of you who are having exams, Jia you and let's all ace the papers with flying colours. Hahaha....

I'm back to update you for this entire week....

Talk about the 2 quizzes that I had this week. Stats was so shocking. So many questions to complete within 20 mins. Made some careless mistakes and really no time to check through. Econs also difficult. Answers are so tricky. I shall keep my fingers cross.

Tuesday was spent at home studying econs. Really hate it when you have to repeatedly study and study over and over again just to get things that you already know into your head so that you can perform under exam conditions.

Interesting was comm fund this week. Never had such extensive meetings like this before where we meet on last thurs, mon, wed and even thurs just before the actual presentation. Most meetings were short though but really time consuming. The teams who presented yesterday were all so strong and made me feel like the weakest link. When it's my turn, I speak like nobody's business and I rushed through my words. The tutors slowed me down and with the help of some laughter from the crowd, I gain a little confidence. The only thing at that point in time I could think of was to varied my tone more to make the presentation more interesting (cos the other teams were really excellent). Think my pitch got higher and higher and ya my tone just keep varying till like some weird tone. Think that was why many people kept laughing. Though our presentation was not the best, but this time round I have greater confidence than the previous individual presentation where I totally like lost my way. But glad that this stupid module is over for me to concentrate on other stuff.

Today was a long day in sch for me. Went to canteen 2 for lunch after econs lecture. Me, Jianyi and Jeremy ordered 1/2 chicken with vegetable and it was like a mini feast for us while the rest, David, Jin and Chris stared at us feasting our chicken rice meal. We then spent the rest of the time at the communication lab doing our stats project. However, the bulk of the time we were not doing stats but rather converted the lab into a "mini k-box". Haha. Yup and I sent lots of songs inside the communication lab and mostly were duet. David, Jianyi and of course our funniest Jeremy was not spared to sing with me. Dunno why I'm so high today. Perhaps as I mingle more with my uni friends, I tend to be more open. Those people who know me long would think that is a norm that when I'm high I will sing and probably ask me to shut up. Haha. But interestingly, everyone just sang along today. It's such a fun way to de-stress, esp when you have to do stats project on some stupid topic called regression where it is catered to "maths genuis" who love formulas and chim terminologies.

Then it was OB lecture at 430 where I sat beside David and on my other side was Jessica and my cute "sister", Huey Sun. For those in my class, you may think I sat at the wrong position. Ya, but when I knew it, it was too late for a change. Also, the reason that I shouldn't be sitting there is becos nat was sitting on the row behind me. If I were to exchange seats with Jin, I could have been so close to him. However, he still saw me and ya we chatted. Chatted about exams, chatted about studies and he said he will start studying today. Hopefully he does.. Haha..

After lecture, Me, David, Jin, Sebastian, Jianyi and Jeremy went to eat at Botak Jones, Clementi. Food was average but overall a nice way to end a long friday evening to pamper us with delicious fries and tasty western cuisine.

This week also made me realise something. Dun talk bad about other people behind their backs. The minute you talk bad about them, they appear right behind you and often you are scared out of your wits. Luckily, the party that I "gossiped" did not hear my comments about them. As mentioned in my previous entry, I dun like my comm fund tutor, so ya he was one of those that appeared in front of me when I was complaining about his strictness in class. Then, the other incident happened today when I spoke bad about this person and this person happened to take the same route as me. I can't elaborate further but for those people who know me better, you know who I'm refering to. Ya, is that person. If you are reading this entry now, the 1st person that comes to your mind is 99% the correct answer. Haha..

Sigh.. Exams is just in 2 weeks time and I have like tonnes of things to study. How to ever finish studying all these modules that are so content heavy. Is life just about mugging for the next 2 weeks. Hopefully, I can blog some interesting entries these 2 weeks to better manage this exam stress on all of us. So if you are like me facing exam stress, Jia you for Exams and all of you will be fine. Jia You!
