I finally found the taste of life of how work is like in typical CBD buildings.. It is fast-paced, tiring and making my eyes super sore n pain. Never hate the computer like now. This is what happened....

On Friday morning, one of the agent from ML consultant called me and asked whether i got a job alreadi. I replied no even though i'm hoping to get the admin job recommended to me not long ago since they haven given me a confirmation. So i kindly agreed to help out for the next few days. I reported at 11 yesterday for work.

My agent, Anne Marie then brought me to the office that i'm supposed to work in to see my manager, Angela. She's quite a friendly person and introduce me to my supervisor, Vivian. Vivian intro me to the duties which is kinda simple cos is jus data entry, entering the survey responses. Simple job but is tiring cos each survey consists of 74 qns with diff sub parts and codes. Some more the surveys are endless. U wun be able to finish them. It is a long continuous process. Had lunch with some of the workers there. Not quite rem their names since it was the first day. Couldnt have lunch with joyce cos is different time slot.

Today i worked again. Today there were less people and time passes quite quickly. But i'm soon gonna quit this job if i ever have a chance to. I'm so lowly paid and its hell work. If u think i'm being fussy, i'm not cos this is really like hell. I'm gonna wait for my agent to call me again, hopefully i will get that admin job she told me, which will start in feb. Its definitely much much better than this rubbish i'm facing now.

I'm feeling rather pissed this week... It was quite a busy week for me but i would say i accomplish nothing..... Was out the past few days since monday... spending money n not earning any money at all!!

Let's start from monday. Me, nette, minz, yuesi & Lina went to a company called DW for interview. I would say the people working there are qutie friendly except one guy but i totally can't stand the job and the person who interviewed us. Keep toking crap throughout the interview and toking about NS life.. N he smokes!! Irritating! We waited veri long for the interview alreadi yet went in to listen to his crap. No wonder everyone's interview took bloody long. He offered us marketing job but we were not veri interested as we have to work with a senior(which may not be nice) and our earnings is based on commission and the profit has to be shared. So i called them the next day, rejecting the job and that save us the trouble of going down to Tanjong Pagar again for a second interview!!

On the same day, we went to a company called JDL for an interview! We actually filled up the application form from them on thurs and they called us down on monday for the interview! The interview proceeded quite smoothly and wad they offered was a customer service job. It sounded quite appealing as it is 5.5 days work and its 60 bucks per day. So me minz n nette kinda like it so we kinda agreed to work for the company by reporting on wednesday for an orientation!! Here comes the exciting story... Wednesday morning the 3 of us promptly arrived at JDL office at Aljunied for the orientation! We reached there at 9 and we waited all the way till 10 before someone attended to us! During that 1 hr, there were lots of cheering and shouting as if a party was going on inside one of the rooms. I never knew my nightmare would soon began.. At 10, they assigned all of us to different seniors or so-called leaders. At that time, Minz left cos she had to work at her aunt's place. Thank god nette and me were put in the same group. Together with another guy and 2 other gals, we were under a "refined" and "well-groomed" leader who claims to be the asst manager of the company. He brought us to holland v from the office. Took us all the way to a burger king outlet to have lunch. Still he did not explain his purpose and pretended his way to be friendly and nice. Then, he ushered us to another seat and explained his motive. That is to sell charity tickets on the street as part of the initial training for newcomers. According to him, this is part of the training which everyone has to go through. So together with the 2 other gals, we started selling tickets on the street under the hot sun. Darn!! That stupid leader, named Sxxun, claims that he is one that earns bloody lot every month and he is willing to teach newcomers like us to be like him. How irritating when i come to think about it. Then, i also realised something, those 2 other gals are part of them and they r trained under them to sell chraity tickets and every booklet they sell, they get 20 bucks. A $5 ticket a person donate will mean that onli a few cents goes to charity while the rest goes to the company. IDIOT! Guess, what they thought us to say: "hi, i'm not selling anything here but i hope u would give me a min. I'm doing a fund-raising project to help needy kids..........." this is wad he thought us to say. So people pls do not be con by this people on the streets. They are doing this for $$ n not charity. If u wan, donate to flag-sellers, reputable orgainisations personally.. Me n Nette thought this is temporary but he claimed that it would continue throughout the week. So we told him that we will quit and will not go for any other 2nd interview at the end of the day even if he promised to give us roadshows to do, which actually is a promoter's job. Darn! He was qutie angry with us quiting but still he gain in the end with us helping him sell a few ticket, without earning anything from them. I cursed him the whole of yesterday and was so angry when he used TEAM to encourage us. How dare he used my fav teacher's line to counter our soft hearts. And he is such a bragger. Keep saying he get people donating 20 bucks each time when he approaches them. Luckily, Yuesi n Lina werent conned by the branch company of that film. They did not follow them outdoors and even helped us scold this bunch of idiots. Well done. Here is a note to anyone who may be like us: If the company plays loud music in their office hall and they claimed that they have orientaion, and u hear loud cheers in secrets room, pls leave immediately. I'm not being racist but my great suspiction is that these companies are owned by a group of malays and their workers are mostly malays..and they communicate in malay most of the time among themselves. So this is one clue to take note.

Forget about such angry stuff and lets tok abt some better encounterments i have met. One agnet called me and offered me an admin job. So i went down to Orchard today and had an inerview with them, currently waiting for their reply. Meantime, another agent called and gave me a promoter job. i rejected it on the spot.

This week was also spent with quite a lot of shopping. Met Eillen on tues at compass point. Headed to compass point to eat a little and guess wad her idol Charmaine actually tok to her on the phone. She was rather exhilarated at that point of time. Today, went to shop with nette minz n joyce at orchard. Walked around orchard while they shopped quite a lot for their new year clothes. Ate the Shilin chicken chop. Found it rather sour and spicy. quite disappointed. Reached home jus now in a super tired state.

I shall sleep well later and sleep as much as i could after being cheated and conned by those professional cheaters for the whole day. Idiot!

Went out to celebrate Yuesi's bdae yesterday. Went to mos burger first to grab a bite before heading to swensens for her ice-cream treat. We saw Raysond Tan n Chen Liping at mos burger together with their son and maid. They dressed up like ordinary folks and were walking around bugis like all of us. Sang birthday song at Swensens and we had 11 scoops of ice-cream altogether including the earthquake and the birthday mini treat..

Went with them to the temple at bugis and there were a lot of people there. Not surprising, but this is my first time visiting that place. Next, we went to that hot and stuffy place at bugis street to shop. They opened quite a number of new shops but there were nothing fantastic there. Still the same old stuff. Then we headed to Chin Fa Live Seafood restaurant to have steamboat dinner. Ate a lot of stuff there and was quite fascinated by the live prawns. Wanted to eat crab but didnt cos we werent able to handle those crabs life and wash them on the spot. The dinner was a fast but enjoyable one..

Headed to Esplanade after dinner and sat at the rooftop to chit chat... Time passes really quite fast and the results will be out soon... Everyone is hoping that everything will be fine and getting into the desired faculty..

Still unemployed... When can i get a job? The longer this drags, the worse it will be. Sigh...

Received one super bad news on Monday afternoon. The call was from Janice, the agent who recommended me my job. She told me i need not report for work on tuesday as the company no longer needs people. So irritating.. I'm quite upset at that moment and there goes my job. I haven even started and I have lost it!! Irritating! Today, i delibrately brought nette there to apply job. She stared at me and asked whether i got a job. What a redundant question to ask, i thought. If i have one, i wouldn't be there rite? She seems to look guilty and thinking that i may be even with her or have a fight with her! Haha...

Went with Minz and Nette to a factory at Aljunied to apply for some customer services job. The manager was not there so we prayed that they would call us on Monday for an interview. Found out that this job requires outdoor activities.. But I'm quite ok with it la! Then accompanied Nette to International Plaza to return surveys and visit Joyce!! Pathetic girl working so hard at the office typing data and sorting out documents! Recommend me this surveyor job but it sounds so tough!! Then went to ML to sign up. Had a mini interview and hope they will contact me SOON! Then brought nette to kelly services to sign up.. She did a typing test on the spot too!! We decided that it was still quite early and we went to recruit express at battery road to sign up!! veri classy building and a nice environment too!!

I really hope to get a job veri soon! I hope so..... waiting is really agony....

I finally found a job!! Yay!! Its a convenient place for me!! At Tampines NTUC income building!! Its a customer services job and i need to where formal wear to work!! A bit stress sia!! But its still better than staying at home to rot!! Anyway, the sad thing is this is just a short assignment and will end by this month!! I will be starting this coming tuesday! Feeling rather excited about it!!

Met Eileen for lunch at TM this afternoon!! Went to our usual pasta mania again!! Ordered Spicy chicken and ice lemon tea as usual!! However, this time round we sat at the outside, the extended part where there is no aircon cos pasta mania is so packed at that time!! Walked around TM to shop for my zhang dong liang and finally bought it after so long!! See how thrifty i am, haha!! Then, we walked around to search for her headphones!! Went to courts and best denki to find them but they were not suitable, so too bad!! We were quite impressed my the newly revamp century square, got a lot of gd shops!! Went to almost every fashion outlet there and were quite tempted to buy the clothes at Baleno!! However, too bad those nice clothes are meant for guys and not gals!! In the end, we bought some t-shirts at Giordano!! Having sales there, so i bought 2 while Eileen bought 1!! Quite cute the designs, and should be quite ok to wear for new year i think!!!

Ok jus came back from dinner at some stupid place!! The food sux!! Guess, i need to find new places to eat the next time when i go Tampines!!

People all wanna have long holidays. However, having too long a holiday may not seem to be a good thing at all!! Every day seems like years!! Sigh

went to pasir ris sec last thurs to help out at the choir auditions!! Of course, i didnt go alone, went with kenneth as usual!! Help to play piano there to test those sec 1 students and identify those that have the potential to become choir members!! Met a few of his juniors there and got to know them quite well!! The teacher is oso quite friendly!!

On sat, went to international plaza with joce, n 2 of her other friends!! Met early there and spent the entire morning walking around the international plaza searching for job agencies!! Walked from 32nd to 35th floor and from 9th to 21st floor!!! Sigh!! Filled up as many forms as i can as possible!! Went to Kelly agency and they require a typing test!! My speed was 45.5 wpm!! Quite ok i thought!! Now im waiting for them to call me!! Hope to receive some calls soon!!

Metals are coming back today!! Wonder how's their bangkok trip!!! Shall ask them more when they come online!!!

Its a long time since i last blog so shall make it a long one today:

Shall start from last week... Went to recruit express last tuesday to fill up the application form!! The agent interviewed me for a short while and asked me to wait for their call!! Its so stupid of me to not ask for her name and the contact no... So i waited patiently for THAT CALL and im still waiting for it till TODAY... so pissed... Then me joce, lynn & jill went to sushi tei to have lunch and at the same time support ne!! She's working there as a part-time waitress and most of the time she's serving green tea and cleaning tables!! Poor thing!! Shared curry rice and ate chawamushi and it cost a brilliant $11.50... It is so ex!! Then we waited for her to finish work and went heeren to walk walk... After that, we took a bus to suntec as ne n joce were supposed to meet the other band members at city hall!! So me lynn jill took train home after that!!!

Had choir meeting on the following day!! Committee was supposed to meet at 9 but due to some irresponsible latecomers the meeting time was postponed to about 10!! Wasnt a fruitful meeting for me as the agenda were stuff beyond my ability to solve it!! Nelson kwei is dropping mj choir and yong would be leaving after syf... And it seems that the chances of them staying is veri slim.. So how can we proceed with an alumni rite when these key people are missing!!! And wad's more when the sch doesnt have the funds to support us!!! So we shall see how things go now!!! Had lunch with Joyce n Nette after the meeting at TM!! Went to pizza hut for lunch cos is cheaper after 130 pm.. We left TM after the meal and headed to bugis to take AURA pic!!! Both of them lead a colourful life according to the pic taken n the explanation by the staff but mine was a red one and my life is full of stress and anxiety!!! Regretted taking it and wasting 5 bucks on that few mins of so called 'wonderful fortune teller'. Then we headed to MPH at citylink cos joyce wanted to buy a book. In the end, I bought a book as well called digital fortress. I'm currently reading it during my free time and im quite slow at it!!! Then we went to delifrance to have a drink!! We chose the window seat so as to glance at the passer-bys walking past us!! Then as i predicted, we saw a group of mjcians walking past!! ANd they saw us!! Hehe!! Then we spent the rest of the time crapping about dates and the shoes people wear!!! So lame rite!!

New year's eve was spent at Zhimei stuff buying steamboat!! Met Sk, Eileen n Kenneth at PS earlier in the afternoon and ate at mos burger!! After which, we headed to carrerfour to shop for groceries for the night's steamboat!! Bought a lot of stuff including roast chicken to go with the steamboat!! Quite cheap to have steamboat leh cos we bought quite a lot of stuff!! Then we waited for zhimei n yuesi and we headed to zhimei's hse at serangoon!! We had a sumptous meal there and were busy gossiping in the course of the meal!!

As for yesterday, i went for a swim with kenneth at bedok swimming complex... Long time no swim liao n im super afraid of the waters now!!! Then we went to KFC for lunch before going to TM to meet joycee n nette!! Upon reaching TM, me n ken headed to optical 88 and met HIM!! I asked for a spectacle cloth and he joked to charge me 10 bucks for it!! Later, he sae give u la as a new year's present!! haha.. so funny!! Then he persuaded me to buy specs then i sae see how lor!!!haha, the remaining time there was spent in silence and him crapping about NS is the best time of his life!! By that time, joyce n nette were alreadi outside optical 88 and we left quickly to buy movie tickets!! Had mos before the movie cos we were pretty thirsty!! Kungfu is really a nice movie to watch.. The animations, the moves and of course the lame jokes throughout the show really worth the ticket price!! Kenneth left us cos he need to head to suntec!! Then the 3 of us went to Gelare to eat waffle!! So nice so delicious!! I'm now craving to hav it again!!! Wanted to buy some cream at Guardian to apply on the face but too ex la so wait till i have a job lor!!!

I'm so bloody bored at home!!! Should i go to another agent now?? I'm so confused!!! Someone tell me what i should do leh!!! I can't continue this type of life anymore!! And transportation costs is really high now!! Really hate paying adult fare!! Can;t imagine taking train for a few stations cost $0.94... So pissed manz!! ARGH!!!!
