Today was a busy day for me. Its the CCA recruitment day and I'm busy asking people to fill up forms for audition and their membership. Ran up and down during the whole recruitment process. Finally, everything is over and we started sectionals at ard 430 pm. At about 530 pm, we did combine and i ended choir by reading out the names of the J1 members. After the majority of the choir population left, I called Ms Chen on the phone and confirmed the newcomers membership. We were pretty shocked by the vast increase in the population. The choir is now 97 members strong. There were 27 girls and 28 boys in year 1, and 26 girls and 16 boys in year 2. Not only that, we managed to pull very strong female singers into choir for the year 1s as only 12 managed to get in (out of the 30 who went for audition). Wow, I'm really impressed by the overwhelming response. Hopefully none will quit and choir will continue to prosper from now on.

Today was a pretty short day for me as my GP tutor Mr Kwek did not come to college. So haha no GP lesson. Went for a movie with Doug, Yuesi, Lina, Joyce, Lynette and Huimin at TM. We watched the eye 2 and i would say the movie is quite scary. Though we rejoyced upon the fact that we can sneak out of college for a movie, we were rather disappointed and upset that there's gonna be a PE lesson at 3.05 pm. Sadly, we left the mall and headed for college. Choir practice today was pretty ok. I was quite shocked by the increased in the population of male singers in the choir today and the entire choir seems pretty big, with new faces joining the choir family. Upon request my many J1s, Paulus introduced the committee members. Of course, when it's my turn to be introduced, his tone changes and was quite reluctant to do so. Fortunately, my group of friends supported me and gave their loudest cheers. But still it was not as loud as committee members from the power clique. But never mind, who cares. Eventually, i will prove to them that i'm not to be looked down and i will show them that i'm defintely worth their respect. I promise!!! Choir did not end at 745 pm sharp. We practically had to sing for the year ones our competition pieces and this continued all the way till ard 8pm. Paulus and mr Yong gave an overview of the choir and Paulus tried veri hard to convience that Choir is the best cca in MJC and that they should continue to stay on. Well, good or no good, the results will be seen in due course.

Choir practice today was ok. For the 1st hour, nelson kwei came in and went through the singing for trial by jury. The next 2 hrs was taken over by mr yong and we went through 2 songs, blue moon and tea for 2. As usual, i think the singing is horrible and the choir just doesn't seem to blend well. Next thing i dread was committee meeting. As per normal, some sucky people gave "constructive" comments and that paulus was giving a whole load of instructions which i did not really understand. I wanted to be in choir room to help in the audition, but 2 helpful souls volunteered their service and paulus, of course, gave them the job. Do i even have a say in certain things during comm meeting, i think obviously not. People are fighting over things to do, specifically important tasks that can suck up, They always want to gain credit from what they've done. This is why i simply dun like this choir... too many politics and every moment there are people "shooting" on what u do. Can't they just live their lives simply and be more mindful about others? i simply dun understand. Took bus 10 with my choir friends(Kenneth, Adrian, Wayne, Angela & Eileen) and headed for suntec city. During the bus journey, there were clear and distinct separation between 2 cliques. And obviously they are trying their veri best to act friendly when they alight. Some didnt even bother to say bye. But who cares. Reach suntec and we headed straight to food court for desserts. We even ordered carrot cakes and shared them among the 6 of us. Went around shopping and parte at around 6. Took train with Kenneth to Tampines as i had arranged to meet doug for dinner there at ard 7. Doug suggested Kenny Roger's as he was a chicken lover and both of us agreed on ordering quarter chicken set for we had not tasted chicken for quite a long time. First time eating quarter chicken set and i was rather clumsy in cutting the 1/4 chicken into pieces. Ended up having my hand soiled with the pepper sauce as i couldn't use the knife and fork to cut my chicken. I used my hand for some parts of the chicken. But still the soup and the side dishes tasted yummicillious. Had my small talks with him during the course of the meal and went to do some shopping with him at popular. We parted at 8.40 pm and i headed home. Juz received the letter for NS enlistment medical check-up. Expected it. Anxiety and worrried simply described my current feeling. Haiz... But i knew there's no way for me to escape from such things... Just hope that i'm not enlisted so soon as i need more time for my friends after A levels. Haiz.........

Yay.....Weekend approaching. But why am i so happy? Tommorrow, there will be choir practice from 1 pm to endless.... Yes its endless. Its infinity...(muz apply L'Hopital rule). Haha. I muz be crazy over maths after the few days of endless studying under my blanket. Anyway, today i'm shocked by the overwhelming population of the year ones. 811 in total. And there are like more than 30 classes. That's qutie a lot. Not only that, the cut-off point for MJ this year is 13 for science and 15 for arts. Wow, MJ is rising. Despite the harsh conditions to get in, the population is stiill so large. First period was econs lecture and experienced Mr Naresh went through the block test's case study. Quite a demanding section and the bulk of the econs students did not have a good theorectical framework for their answers. I think i have covered the necessary points needed but still there are some that i left out. Sad, more importantly i can't really predict my scores. Sometimes, the greater hopes u pinned on it, the greater the disappointment. Ms Lim covered Keyne's summary today. It was much better than WML's lecture. just dun know why she likes to make things complicated for us and leave us with a big bulk of mess to settle on our own. Dun like her lectures and her notes. Neither comprehensive nor cohesive. Just dunno why Adrian thinks that her extra information in tutorials are good. If u are in my class for the 1st 3 months last year, u would understand. Chemistry lecture's momentem was back to condusive after the baton was passed back to mrs Lim. She's just different from all other tutors. Scheme of work is out and revision quizzes have been set this term to better prepare us for our A levels. Electrochem today was easy as most of it had been covered during our sec 4 days. Chem tutorial wasn't that fun and we could only manage to solve 1 question. So sad.. Went out for lunch with Kenneth, Angela, Eileen, Siew Kia and Adrian today. Went to Pasir Ris west plaza. As usual, as we eat and gobble our food down our hungry stomachs, we gossiped!! So fun! It is always fun to have a choir clique who can laugh and joke with u all the time. We went back to college shortly and we decided to spend the unbearingly hot afternoon in the cooling library. It was so shocking to find out that there are so many people in the library. There weren't many seats left but still we managed to get our butts rested on a empty row of tables and chairs at level 2. Mj is no longer ours; its shared and u no longer could feel the "coolness" of the air-con in the library. It is quite hot. PE today was fun at first, i thought, but idiotic during the 2nd half. We took our height and weight. Surprisingly, i shrunked by 1 cm and put on weight. I'm now 173 cm and 51 kg. Next, we were instructed to run 4 rounds round the track within a stipulated time of 8 min. Of course, as usual, i didn't make the mark. Pauline Choy ended off the lesson with none other than 40 sit-ups and 20 thug jumps. So tiring. I hate PE!!! Bringing a whole load of exhaustment, i left college and headed home sweet home.

Received our new timetable. Yay, friday gonna be a short day. Have 3 free periods on tues. But I'm sure people liked mrs lim and mrs chong will definitely take it. On the whole, a OK timetable. Today thought there's gonna be chem practical. But haha, there's not. Instead, we have 2 periods of tutorial on NMR and the teacher was Ms Teo. Pretty good lesson and i could understand what is convered. After recess, we had econs tutorial. And Ms Lim went through the MCQ questions for econs block test. I gotten 13 out of 20 correct, which i think is quite average results. Highest was 16 in my class. So i couldnt ask for much rite? After that, was mrs chong's lesson. Look at the verification slip for A levels and found out that all the papers are liked packed together. Sad. During PCCG, ms lai told us about the fund raising project in MJC. Each student is supposed to raise $200. Haiz... another big hurdle for me. On top of that, this year's CIP was to set up funfair stalls and to hopefully make a profit from selling all of it. Sian. Busy and nothing else but busy.......... Later, it was choir tickets distribution time. I distributed all the tickets and gave instructions on the sales of tickets to all members. Busy, busy. Went in to the AVA room to listen to the audition. Feel so sad as all those who came cannot pitch. And i'm not saying pitch veri well. They just simply can't pitch. Dun know wherther they tone deaf or purposely one. Haiz.... GP was ok and we learnt 3 new terms today: Prejudice, discrimination, stereotype. Again i was used as an example. Never mind, i'm used to it. Had to get new journal books for the class. Which means we have to write journals. In that case, why am i still keeping a blog. Today was quite a fruitful day. Just that i know that there's a lot of things coming up and i will have to brave through all of them. Kambatate!!!!!

Haiz... finally know how to meddle with this thing. Today is such a long and tiring day. Two papers in a row: Maths and Chem. I studied so hard yet when i start reading all the questions, i was unable to answer all of them. Haiz.... so sad. Looks like I'm gonna fail these two tests. Finally, at 230 pm, everything is done and over with. Yeh Yeh. Went for lunch with my choir friends: Eileen, Siew Kia, Angela, Adrian, Wayne, and Michelle(new member??). Not forgetting Angela's frend Tabitha who went with us. Went to Pasta Mania and ordered a plate of Mussels and Clams. How it tastes? Ok la. average lor. Shared potato salad with Angela and Tabitha. Its so fun to have lunch with a group of friends. Toking abt frends, met my class clique ( 7 of them) and Jill at Tampines Mall. They went Pasta Mania too. As usual, they continue to blame my absence and for pangsehing them. haiz.... Apparently, today the entire clique of mine was celebrating Kah Woon's 18th birthday for him. Together with them, i sang birthday song for him, n he eventually offered me a piece of his birthday cake. How nice of him. After leaving Pasta Mania, we went to Mac to have some dessert. Mc Flurry to be specific. We used our EZ link card which is one of class group's pw idead, to pay for our meal. So called "tap to pay". However, it was not as efficient in handling the transaction as compared to what they proposed. We sat down at Mac and started chatting about choir stuff. After that, Eileen wanted to buy a present for her classmate's birthday. So the entire clique went with her, ranksacking the entire mall, just to find the present. Finally, settled with a card at TIMES and all of us decided to leave as we felt it was pretty late. Wow! what a tiring and eventful day. Tommorrow life is back to normal. Normal lessons and lectures. Hope i can catch up with all the work and have a new start tommorrow. Jia You !
This is my second posting. Haha hope i can use this thing now.
This is my first entry. Happy and excited
